What I'm Thinking- Coach Joe

Are You Falling To The Weak Side

Sometimes life can be a struggle between what we believe to be true and what is commonly accepted as truth.

I find that this can be a very healthy place for personal growth.

The constant presseance of weight and resistance we press up against that molds our character and integrity. A lot can be accomplished under large amounts of stress and strain. Minds are expanded, backs are strengthened, characters are formed, lessons are learned and relationships are developed.  This is where we get to see who we really are and  what we potentially can become. This is where winning is done. The trenches of energy and effort. Conflict and resolve.

It isn’t that HARD anymore is it. I feel like the world is trying to always find an easier way to accomplish things that need to be learned through stress and conflict. There’s always someone or something to take the edge off ,take the pressure off, or bail you out. Getting punched in the mouth taught me a few things when I was young. It taught me how to shut the hell up and move my ass. A little bit of pain and suffering from delaying some gratification more than likely save my life quite a few times as I got older. Most importantly pain taught me respect. Do you member that thing that kept our heads up ,forced us to communicate and take responsibility for our actions. That sense of pride that kept you honest. Respect made us tough. Made us strong to our word and validated our actions.  We definitely became stronger as a result of those standards.

Now more than ever there needs to be a revolution of the self. A systematic upgrade of the way we think feel and act towards our own success. A true appreciation of the value of what we invest ourselves in.  We need to readjust our pride in the things that made our lives honorable, that motivated us to want to create more. I challenge all of us to continue to find greatness in our own hearts and in our own minds, to be the best version of ourselves, to make an environment that strives to win.  Never be afraid to fall down and get back up. You may be surprised how strong you really are.!

Be - Not like most

Take Ownership

Break the mold of madness trying to find your purpose. Take what you have and build on top of it. Level your present platform of the bullshit that you have allowed in and lay some bricks. Physical mental and emotional concrete that can give rise to an amazing you. Own yourself, shed old skin. Promise yourself to start thinking differently.

Get Pissed Off.!!!!

Get emotional. Connect some serious emotion to your actions. Heart and freaking Fire. Nothing will advance you more than pure ,insane, enthused COMMITTMENT.!!  GET AFTER IT!!!!! Accept no limits to  your potential.

Strength beyond Strength

Make sure you are always firing on all cylinders. Eat, sleep, hydrate and train as if it’s show time. 5 min to kick off, 2 min drill. Everyday is game day. Don’t be that guy that finds reasons not to be the first out of the tunnel. Be strong beyond strong. My old man always told me to get yourself really strong. Fuck training smarter, cause u still are going to have to train hard. Screw these new world programs that tell you u need to do this and that to gain the edge. I’m telling u in the real world of life that’s a bunch of bullshit. He who wants it most gets it most of the time. You can’t control tornados , but u can control EFFORT.

- DAILY - Goals

Break your months into days. Keep goals specific to this template and I promise you will be more successful, less cluttered and more confident in your abilities to get things done. Narrow your focus and BLAZE.

Win the Day

Refuse to lose. Never finish your day with out a victory. Actually start your days as if you have already achieved your objectives and it’s just a tuning and finishing touch process till the bell rings.   Life is yours to lose. FIGHT LIKE HELL.!!!

Pay it forward

Be modest and give credit where it is due. Many have sacrificed to pave the ways that which you travel. Whether it be a mentor ,parent or Our Lord and Savior, acknowledge that there of been many before you that have brought greatness to this world. It is our responsibility to continue that process and pass the torch of wisdom and opportunity.

BREAK THROUGH DON’T BREAKDOWN

There is a cost at times when the ware of the world can catch up to some of us. Life can get heavy and we become calloused and sometimes even jaded because of this. Internaly our system adjusts to a basic survival mode and the quality of our thoughts feelings and actions become scewed. We begin to compromise our own happiness and eventually push those closest to us away. Ego and fear get in the way of more rational decisions and system breakdown sets in.

Humans today are so programed to respond in the most comfortable and or efficient way every time we are confronted with a challenge. We need to learn how to mentally shift gears and teach ourselves how to BREAK THROUGH instead of BREAK DOWN.

  1. Accept this negative energy and learn how to use it as fuel to your fire. Energy cannot be created nor destroyed, so learn how to leverage it in a way that gives you an opportunity to benefit from it. If you are going to let it in, harness it’s waves and channel it in your workouts or when u feel tired or need to get things done and rely on the fact that allowing breakdown reactive behavior will only exist with a cost and most of the time it’s you and your health.
  2. Acknowledge the fact that you’ve been in this situation before , and remember, whatever got you through it before will get you through it this time. Don’t replay and relive old situations, develop new responses and new feelings towards situations so that you can develop new experience. Never shed fresh tears over old griefs.
  3. Divide and conquer. Prioritize what is the most important tasks now and handle those first, make clear and conscious decisions not to waste time and spread yourself too thin, which won’t help get anything done.
  4.  Learn and grow through pain. Shed old skin and drop the weights that you were caring around giving you negative attitudes, which disallow your body your mind your heart and your soul to be free and on clouded. Allow your heart to be full so new learning pathways can develop.
  5. MAN UP / LEVEL UP / ADAPT
